Victor Manuel Rivera Romay

Head of Further Education and, Department of Engineering

Victor studied Electrical Mechanical Engineering with a special focus on Industrial Engineering in the Faculty of the Engineering at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), and has a Master’s in Business Administration from the Panamerican Institute Business School (IPADE).

He was a fellow at the Mexican Institute of Technology (IMIT) where he served as an evaluator of credit and investment projects. He joined the financial sector working for the National Foreign Trade Bank (Bancomext) and the Bancomer Financial Group, performing functions of financial product design, valuation and securitization. He was Director General of DIPEx, dedicated to logistics.

He has been a professor for 27 years in the Faculty of Engineering at UNAM and other Universities and has managed more than 45, leading 15 lectures on issues of strategic planning, business reengineering and management.

He has trained directors and company managers on issues of strategic planning, finance and management. He is the author of the course “Planning SME Business Methodology” aimed at small businesses.

Currently he is in charge of the Division of Continuing and Distance Education at the Faculty of Engineering of the UNAM.
