John Rushworth Duncan Taylor CBE is the current Ambassador of Her Britannic Majesty to Mexico. Ambassador Taylor entered the British Foreign Service in 1982. He has worked in various positions within the Foreign Service, which includes the address section of Japan and the headquarters of the Consular Service. He has served as British High Commissioner to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, worked in Havana, Budapest and New York. He also spent a year with the company Rolls Royce working as Director for Latin American Affairs. He was Governor of the Cayman Islands, a British overseas territory, from 2009 to 2013. Appointed by the UK government as Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Mexico, officially opened the office at the end of October 2013. He is married to Marie Beatrice and has 5 children, 3 girls and 2 boys.
