Enrique Alejandro González Torres

Enrique Alejandro González Torres P.H.D. is a Geologyl Engineer from the Engineering School at UNAM, and completed his Masters in Science degree in the Science School at UNAM and PhD in Earth Sciences (Geochemistry and Petrology) in the Earth Sciences Postgraduate Program at UNAM. He has taught: Foundations of Geology, Internal Geodynamics, Igneous petrology and Mexican Geology.

Areas of particular interest to him include:  Mexican regional geology, petrogenesis of igneous silicic rocks and Mexican geology evolution. He has authored and co-authored several articles for national and international journals as well as for book chapters. He has been a Coordinator of Geological Engineering at UNAM, Technical Secretary at the Geology Institute at UNAM, Subdirector of Statistics and Mining Analysis at the Minig General Directorate at the Ministry of Trade; among others.
