Maersk Oil

President of Maersk Oil Houston since 2008, Bruce is responsible for activities in the U.S. and the Chissonga deepwater development project offshore Angola. Prior to joining Maersk Oil, he worked exclusively in the international arena with Chevron followed by Murphy Oil, including overseas assignments in Papua New Guinea, Nigeria and Angola. While with Chevron, Bruce held positions of increasing responsibility in the development exploration and new ventures functions. As Vice President for Latin America, Africa and Europe Operations for Murphy, his responsibilities included the world’s first FDPSO which developed the Azurite field off the coast of the Republic of Congo.

Bruce holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Master’s Degree in Geophysics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
